The new camera - Sony FS100

Well, there we are. Beautiful new camera, and combined with the Atmos Ninja, a new workflow. Initial tests look fantastic. It was very easy to grab some great shots at a community meeting yesterday that was poorly lit. The results are clear and lacking in noise despite the camera being on auto gain. This bodes well. Am currently using the stock lens but will soon be able to use our nice Nikon glass. Just waiting for the adaptor. The Ninja seems very promising, besides giving us a very accurate and larger screen and long recording times to HD, it records via HDMI to Apple Pro Res in a 4.2.2 colour space. A big leap in quality. Exciting times ahead, very confident in being able to supply high quality for business, and have the scope to move into music videos and documentaries.
Will post videos to show results soon.

  1. Thanks for sharing valuable information about the Sony NEX-FS100. The Sony NEX-FS100 camera is smaller and lighter but uses the same Exmore Super 35mm CMOS image sensor chip. The new camera does not support SDI or HDSDI like the Sony F3, but it is equipped with HDMI and component signal outputs.

  2. The first time I saw it, it reminds me of the old HI8 Sony Video Walkman.
